Requirements for this online graduate certificate in nursing education

Applicants to the Graduate Nursing Certificate in Nursing Education must have:

Admission Requirements:

  • A current, unencumbered RN license
  • A Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree from a nationally accredited nursing program (ACEN, NEA, or CCNE) and regionally accredited college or university
  • Cumulative 2.5 GPA in undergraduate coursework or 3.0 GPA in nursing coursework

  • A Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree from a regionally accredited college or university and a nationally accredited nursing program (ACEN, NEA, or CCNE)
  • Completion of an approved statistics and nursing research course with grades of “C” or better
  • A current, unencumbered RN license
  • Formal admission to Northeastern State University and the Graduate College by submitting an application and official transcripts to the Graduate College
  • A cumulative grade point average (GPA) of 2.5 on a 4.0 scale in all undergraduate coursework attempted or a 3.0 GPA based on a 4.0 scale in the nursing major of the bachelor’s degree
